Linda grew up in London and moved to Plymouth to work as a Secondary School teacher, returning to London where she worked in Local Government Personnel for sixteen years.
On moving to Cornwall, Linda studied for a Diploma in Art and Design at Falmouth Art School, which had always been an interest of hers. Linda also returned to teaching, but this time working with adults for Cornwall Council as a Tutor Organiser in Basic Skills, which was hugely rewarding. Linda was based mainly in Helston and retired a year early, in 2010, although she continued as a volunteer support tutor for a while.
Linda has lived in Lowertown for almost twenty-five years and joined Sithney Parish Council in September 2015, hoping to be able to contribute to the work that is carried out in the support of this parish.
